County Competitions

This page details Hampshire County Cup competitions. This includes Saturday Senior Cup, Russell-Cotes Cup, Hampshire Trophy (previously Intermediate Cup) and Junior competitions.  The Hampshire FA did administer the Hampshire League for a number of years too, which operated for over one hundred years and this will also be developed and located here in due course.

Update – November 2024.  The Hampshire Senior Cup seasons have been completed up to World War I (as archival data permits).  Further seasons will follow in due course but attention will now be diverted to some of the other pages on this site that need additional material.   

I have now included a “progress tracker” which is a summary of the most prominent teams playing in the Hampshire Senior Cup in those first 27 seasons (1887 to 1914).  Another such document will be published, showing further progression up to World War II.  Some teams will remain prominent in the competition.  as others come and go, which will enable some comparisons can be made.
